Carl Verheyen Interview – Putting It All Out There

We spoke with guitar virtuoso and Supertramp legend Carl Verheyen about his newest  release titled, “Alone”, which is  a beautiful and complicated collection of Jazz, Rock and Classical standards delivered in masterful style. In this interview, Carl  discusses his mega successful career as a  “first call” studio musician and his most recent touring plans and promotions for his newest worldwide solo release. Carl shares with us his inspirations for the new album and some of the technical challenges that came from producing a solo guitar release.  As a veteran performer of 40+ years, there are  some truly great stories to share here about his life on the road, in the studio and on the stage.  All of which Carl discusses with humor and great confidence.

We found Carl’s views on the music industry and on musical careers in general to be inspiring and unflinchingly honest. With a career that spans hundreds of albums, film soundtracks and television productions, we get the sense that this is the voice of experience and we would do well to listen very close, for this is the voice of a modern master!
